Ever feel awkward or incomplete not saying those words to someone who’s about to embark on an adventure?

I do.

Is this our innate way of saying that we are moral human beings and we care about one another – and that’s why we feel the need to iterate a phrase that the person already knows?

If we don’t say it, does that make us a “bad person”?

Or does it just say that we slip up sometimes and forget to state the most obvious thing?

I feel like I’m being circumlocutory, so I’m going to stop typing now.
