Like a maniac!
I’m not quite so sure why I’m so nervous.
I’ve traveled places by myself before.
But I guess it’s the fact that I’m not going to know anyone when I get there that makes it a little bit more edgy.
It’s just another state, right? There’s no freakin’ language barrier like Costa Rica or China.
But I’m still not quite sure what to expect.
Another state at an even more rapid pace than the bay area?
I’m trying to imagine.
I get really ambitious when I want to do something.
Like travel.
I booked my airfare and hostel reservations today.
It started out that I was going to go to Chicago for 4 days, NY for 7, and then Boston for 3.
The price was right, what can I say?
And then it came down to NY and Boston.
And now I’m left with NY because apparently, there’s a lot to see and do there.
Spring break, I am going to head to Boston for a week.
And yes, summer, I’m finally gonna do it. The backpacking Europe EXTRAVAGANZA!
…that everyone and their mom does.
That aside, I’m hoping that I meet some nice people along the way so I don’t eat a whole pizza pie by myself. hehehe.
Things that I really want to see/listen/do in NY:
- See musicals
- Listen to an orchestra play classical music
- See/Listen to at least one opera
- Attend/See/Listen to a gospel choir
- Listen to live jazz and blues
- Eat a variety of cheap, local, yummy food.
- Start my mornings with “hella” good coffee and breakfast food at different cafes.

- Be exhausted by the end of the day and do it all over again!
Those are my top priorities. Museums and attractions are kind of at the bottom.
Oh, and I probably should regulate my sleeping habits if I want to wake up early next week and maximize my time! I’ll be leaving on the 15th and returning on the 23rd.
